Is The Meaning Of Happiness, the Meaning of Life?
Ever wondered about the meaning of happiness?
I have.
And I have come to the conclusion that the meaning of happiness is the same as the meaning of life. If you find one, you'll find the other.
Take a look at the following quotes on happiness:

New Year's Day is special to me. Every January 1, the morning after all the fireworks, I put on the kettle, sit by myself and quietly think about my new year's resolutions. I list my goals, things I want to do, change or improve. Things such as: get a new job, lose more weight or be a better listener. Things that I think would make me more happy.
We all want to make the most of our lives. Don't we? Les Brown tells us it's good to Live Full, Die Empty.
Now I'm guessing, you've probably done the same thing, too, at least once. If so, I'm also guessing that your list would probably be different from mine because we all define happiness differently. But whether you've listed more money, power or social status. Or better knowledge, skills or relationships--we both have the same end in mind.
We want to be happy.

But if we define happiness in different ways, does it also follow that there is more than one meaning of happiness?
Some say that happiness means the attainment of pleasure. Not everyone.

Others say that it is freedom from pain and suffering. These happy quotes show they are related.

Many pursue it in their work and in earning more money.

A number find it in nature.

And a lot, myself included, and I'm sure you, too, seek it in love.

Personally, I like to keep things simple. Have one simple meaning.
Here it is.
We can find the meaning of happiness by having a meaningful life.
How do we achieve this?
Simply, by doing what means most to us. Whether it is by pursuing new activities, having new goals or new relationships with the hope that they will give our life more meaning. Or by finding more meaning in what we already do and have with the people around us.
