Tell me--have you ever felt that life was intended to try us?

For most of us, life is challenge. And I don't mean it in the positive sense.

I don't remember when I first heard the saying,

"When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

They're supposed to be comforting words, I know. But when you're having a bad time, they only make you feel like punching someone in the face. Except that you don't. Because deep down you know that it's right.

So what is success?

Perhaps if we thought of life's challenges in a positive way...

Perhaps if we thought it was good to learn how to be tough...

Well, Jim Rohn knows all about being tough. He knows all about life's challenges. Just listen to his great speeches.

According to the Jim Rohn biography, Jim Rohn was born to a poor Idaho farming family. By age 25, he was deep in debt, earning little, with no relief in sight.

And he would have remained poor if he hadn't met John Earl Shoaff. Shoaff took him under his wing, offered him a job and taught him how to make his fortune. Jim Rohn made his fortune and became a millionaire by age 31.

A dramatic improvement, wouldn't you say?

I'm sure there was a lot of hard work, set-backs and disappointments in between. Usually, it's not the hard work that people are afraid of. I mean for those who are serious about becoming a success anyway. And failures and disappointments--well, they come whatever we do.

But in my experience, it's knowing how to become a success that stumps most of us.

We just don't know where to start. And not knowing how to change things is the worst place you would want to be. Whatever your definition of success is, it is knowing what to do that is the key to manifesting abundance.

Well, this is where Jim Rohn comes in.

In his great speeches, he shows us how. And he sets us a challenge.
