A FRIEND

First impressions are lasting,
And some how,
You never forget that first meeting.
The pain and agony you may
Have been experiencing....your times
Of sadness suddenly changes to sheer
Delight and laughter....then you realize
Vow... this is a friend!
The realization is soon learned,
That a friend is not a person who
Measures up to your standards....instead;
A friend is a real individual...one who
Has compassion, love, and understanding.
One who accepts you for who you truly are,
Respecting you just the same.
Yes a friend will love and care for you
At all times, and is there for you in every
Seasons of your life.
