It shows that we can over come hate in life and really just appreciate what we have because it can be taken away at anytime.
I think what really made the movie exceptional is that at the start of the movie he was this jerk that though he was a big shot that couldn't do anything wrong when really he is no better then us. Basically u see how he evolves to be this humble man through out the movie.
I guess what I'm trying to say is it makes think about how lucky you are to have a loving family and a home to live in and why you need to cherish it because something like that could happen and maybe not in a happy ending.

Note: Based on Aron Ralston's autobiography Between a Rock and a Hard Place, 127 Hours is a story about a climber who became trapped by a boulder during a mountain climbing expedition.
It was co-written, produced and directed by Danny Boyle and stars James Franco as Ralston.
The film was nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Actor.
