Inspirational thoughts are powerful.

They can absolutely change your life.

Now you may scoff and say, "I've heard it all before." Don't worry. That's what I said, too. The inspirational words went in one ear and out the other--until there came a time when I needed them most.

You see, I was going through a rough patch a few years back. I wasn't happy with my job. Money was a struggle, and my personal life was in a mess. I was angry, depressed and confused. There were horrible moments, lying in bed, when I literally felt like I was drowning. (No, I don't own a waterbed.)

I didn't know what to do.

Today, you'll be glad to know that I have turned my life around in all respects. I am happy, healthy, full of energy and a zest for life.

How did it change?

Well, I did not win the lottery.

There was no magic genie or mirror on the wall. Nothing quite so dramatic as that.

In fact, it started with a book.

I picked up a paperback with a bold, promising title from the self-help and spirituality section of my bookstore.

But I did not stop there. I was on a mission.



I listened to cds, watched dvds, read even more books, anything I could get my hands on. They were packed with inspirational thoughts, famous sayings and motivational phrases. I must admit that it took a while for all the lessons to sink in.

When they finally did, you know what? They all said the same thing.

Thoughts are the key.

We are what we think.

This time the inspirational messages didn't go out the other ear. This time I listened. I changed my thinking. And it worked. I turned my life around.

I've always considered myself fairly smart. I did well in university, even graduated with some honours. Unfortunately, I realized that I spent a great deal of time thinking about little things: what to wear in the morning, how to impress my boss, or what to cook for supper that night.

What's even worse, I found that I was dwelling on my many problems above everything else.

I was always thinking, but I was thinking more about the negative and not enough about positive things, such as happiness, love, friendship...

Does this seem familiar to you?

We all have our low moments, times when we need more than just a cup of coffee to get our day going. And if you're like me, you probably sigh. You probably shrug your shoulders and say, "That's life."

The good news is that we only need to shift our minds a little onto something positive to give us hope. Focus harder on truly inspirational thoughts, and it can make all the difference.

There, that's the secret, and it really is simple: that we can actually think our way into a better life just by thinking about better things.

And this is the reason why I'm here.

I've seen the blessings inspirational thoughts have done in my life, and so I'd like to share them with you.
